I've Made a Career Out of Helping Small Businesses Succeed

Since the early days of the Internet, I've been helping small businesses, both for-profit and nonprofit, learn how to use the Internet to successfully attract customers, increase sales and bottom line profits.

In 1995, the really early days of the Internet, most businesspeople didn't even know what the World Wide Web was or how to use it in their business. This made it difficult to sell them Web sites and since I was one of the founders of a Web development company (we developed the first Web site for the DishNetwork and others) we had to figure out a way to "educate" the business owners to the point where they could actually make an intelligent buying decision about buying their first Web site.  (I call it "edu-marketing").

And the edu-marketing worked...we generated nearly $1,000,000 in Web revenue via an interactive, fun, live Internet seminar called The Internet Game.

Fast Forward to 2011 - Doing Good is the New Currency

For the past 7 years I've been focused on helping businesses find innovative ways to grow their business by combining technology with "doing good stuff" in their businesses .

Goodonomics is an inclusive term I created to describe a variety of "good stuff" that an increasing number of purpose-driven businesses are doing as they consciously grow their business while making a difference in their local communities and in the world.

goodonomics includes a variety of business activities including green, sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, volunteerism, philanthropy Cause Marketing and more.
