Since the early days of the
Internet, I've been helping small businesses, both
for-profit and nonprofit, learn how to use the Internet
to successfully attract customers, increase sales and
bottom line profits.
In 1995, the really early
days of the Internet, most businesspeople didn't even
know what the World Wide Web was or how to use it in
their business. This made it difficult to sell them Web
sites and since I was one of the founders of a Web
development company (we developed the first Web site for
the DishNetwork and others) we had to figure out a way
to "educate" the business owners to the point where they
could actually make an intelligent buying decision about
buying their first Web site. (I
call it "edu-marketing").
And the
edu-marketing
worked...we generated nearly $1,000,000 in
Web revenue via an interactive, fun, live
Internet seminar called The Internet Game. |
